University of Illinois Gies College of Business just launched the largest experiential course in the country (800 students!). Even with a long history of real-world learning at Illinois, scaling experiential in their curriculum was a challenge. Building internal support, aligning this new focus on real-world learning with the larger college mission and sorting through endless details were crucial in getting this off the ground.

Faculty and staff from Illinois share the details, setbacks and wins they have experienced in the past three years to get to this point.

Key topics:

    • The anatomy of a curricular revamp, how it started and how it is going so far
    • How to sell the idea of experiential internally and building buy-in
